 Guided by master conductor and teacher, Mark Shapiro, you will learn to hear and experience music in a way immediately applicable to your conducting practice.

3-week IntensiveScore Study – Analysis & Keyboard Harmony 

Composition:

Guided by composer Philip Lasser of The Juilliard School, students take Counterpoint and Keyboard Harmony each in week-long intensive immersions.  With classes and workshops daily, you focus your attention entirely on one craft at a time. It’s boot-camp for Counterpoint and Harmony

3-week Intensive Counterpoint, Keyboard Harmony, Musicianship for composers, Composition Studios : Art Song/Chamber/ Piano

New for July 2021: 

Variant 6 will workshop student choral pieces. The reading and critiques of each work will be recorded for the use by the composer.

Piano:

 In July 2021, master pianist, teacher and composer, Emile Naoumoff, will direct and coach the Piano Program with an emphasis on French piano repertoire. We train you towards truly multi-layered horizontal hearing allowing you to engage totally in the piano performance experience.

Knowing your relationship to the piano, its sonority, and voicing you develop a deep understanding of the harmonic importance of inner voices .We study how to listen to and sing all the contrapuntal lines in a piece.

3-week Intensive Counterpoint or Keyboard Harmony

Piano Studio Workshops (3) with Emile Naoumoff
